Private pool

Take a refreshing dip in the private pool, located right next to the cottage. The spacious terrace around the pool is equipped with sunbeds and beach chairs. Enjoy true French outdoor living and dining with a large garden table and gas BBQ equipped with plancha. Once evening falls, the atmospheric pool lighting ensures that a night swim becomes a party too!

Relax in style

With its beautiful oak trusses, the gîte blends seamlessly into its wooded surroundings. The interior was tastefully renovated in 2025 and equipped with air conditioning, new kitchen and new sanitary fittings. The entire length of the cottage is directly adjacent to the terrace with private pool. The grounds are screened for maximum privacy.

Green green green

Nature is never far away here in the Périgord Vert with forest trails right from the gîte. Take a lovely walk in the cooling greenery and spot the many animals. Go offline for a while and listen, smell and watch (there is good free wifi though). There are many wonderful routes mapped out including the app-guided Terra Aventura routes (personal tip!)

Accommodation: privacy, comfort and atmosphere

Enjoy an unforgettable stay exclusively for your group. The booking is for 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, depending on the size of your party (up to 8 people (of which max 6 adults) + an extra baby). Regardless of group size, you always rent the entire holiday home, so there are no other guests.

Bedroom 1 & 2 each feature a double bed, an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet, and direct access to the terrace with swimming pool. Optionally, you can add a free baby cot.
Bedroom 3 & 4: two single beds and private bathroom with washbasin and toilet.
A lovely open-plan living room kitchen with dining table for 8, high chair, and comfortable seating area with TV, overlooking and accessing terrace and pool. Experience outdoor living at its best with a canopy over the entire length of the gîte.

Discover the area: adventure in nature

In the middle of the beautiful Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park, the adventure begins immediately. Explore winding paths through vast forests. Visit impressive caves, castles and be surprised by typical French markets and authentic villages and take a dip in one of the nearby swimming lakes with beaches.

For those who like action: climbing and ziplining in treetop parks, mountain biking, hiking with geocaches or canoeing in Brantôme-“the little Venice of France”. As soon as night falls, the magic of nature begins again: enjoy the twinkling starry sky and admire glowing glowworms in June and July.

July 2025 - We had such a good time here! In the middle of the beautiful Périgord-Limousin national park. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place in the middle of nature to start your holiday, this is the place. Friendly owners, a fine air-conditioned gîte with full equipment, and on top of that, its own swimming pool! We'll be back next year!

Gîte Rêve Vert is located near Abjat-sur-Bandiat, in the middle of the wooded area of the green Dordogne (Perigord Vert). The village has a bakery and pancake restaurant. 10 km away is Nontron with all major supermarkets.

Privacy & space
The gîte is on our own property but is detached and fully screened with privacy screens and has its own terrace with swimming pool. So you enjoy peace and privacy. The main house has a separate garden, so everyone has their own space.
